MAJOR UPDATE (Sun, May 8th):  The new forums are up and running, feel free to check the out at forums.korerekon.com.  I fixed a few bugs in KHT, so v0.1 is now released.  I updated the Unlimited Ammo Mod and No Shees mod, and added the Hellfire Mod and No Flags mod.  I'll be working on the redesign of this site as soon as possible.
Additional Update:  I created a page for all the original maps.  It contains links to every Halo Trial map, all unmodified.

MAJOR UPDATE (Tue, April 26th):  Since our forums had so much downtime, we have decided to pay for a small business web hosting plan (800mb storage, 12gb bandwidth).  The new address for this site is KoreRekon.com, mods.hopto.org has been configured to redirect you to this new site.  I also setup a redirect for our forums, gl.hopto.org, which currently points to the old forums, but will be redirected to the new forums as soon as they open.  I'll be working on installing and heavily modifying they new forums ASAP.  The new forum feature most of you are looking forward to, is the ability to attach your mod directly to a forum post, so no worrying about getting it hosted.  There will be many new features in the forums, including built in instant messaging, chat room (possibly clan only), and eventually a karma system (users of the Red vs Blue forums will understand what that is).  The forums will also be integrated into this site more, so I can display recent topics, users online, etc on this main page.  Once I get the forums stable, I will be doing a full redesign of this site.  Soon this site and the new forums will have Google ads (the old forum had ads, but the profits didn't go to us).  Hopefully some of you will be nice enough to click the ads occasionally, doing so will help us pay for this site.

Welcome to mods.hopto.org.  I'll be working on redesigning this website over the next week or so.  I'm quite surprised with the amount of "word of mouth" traffic this site has received, considering I really haven't advertised it at all.

I'm proud to announce that the first public beta version of KHT, a very easy to use PPF installer/creator designed just for Halo, is now released.  The program is pretty far from being finished, but currently it has enough functionality that it's ready for some testing.

I'll currently be working on a few more mods.  After I finish those I will probably stop modding the trial version to work more on the program and play with modding full version.  After I stop modding trial I'll be looking for quality mods to host on the site and include with the PPF program.

Mods in self-extracting exe's will no longer be hosted on this site (except for the original, unmodded map), because of the release of the new PPF program.  Also, I've changed the way I'll be naming the PPF's.  The new format will be [version]-[map]-[name].ppf (ie, HT-BG-Matrix.ppf).  The version is either HT (Halo Trial) or HF (Halo Full).  The map is two or three letters to represent the map's file name (ie, BG is bloodgulch.map, BM is bitmaps.map, etc).

UPDATE (Sat, April 16th):  For anyone who has downloaded KHT and had troubles installing, there is a new installer for KHT.  Thanks to mannu687 for pointing out that the old installer didn't work on Windows XP with SP1.  I also added a link to a pack of HMT plugins  on the How To Mod page, and will be adding links to useful forum posts there occasionally.

UPDATE (Tue, April 12th):  I just updated the broken Ghost Mod PPF, thanks to luke1264 for pointing it out.

UPDATE (Mon, April 11th):  I've updated just about everything on the site (in content, not design).  The big news is I finally released a beta version of KHT, my PPF program.
